Hello, I own the E-3, 12-60SWD, 50-200SWD, 1.4xTeleconverter and I am very happy with the results of this set. I would highly appreciate a 300mm 1:4 SWD as the 300mm 1:2.8 is way to expensive and way to heavy for my kind of photography.

This would be a perfect option for those of us that can't afford the costly 300 f/2.8. I believe it would also help Olympus by allowing them to mass produce a "cheaper" high-grade 300mm prime (as opposed to a 'made to order' Super High-Grade), thus getting it to the ever growing 4/3 supporting crowd faster. It's not hard to see that having this type of lens in the lineup would help sales in the semi-pro to pro segment of current 4/3 users or even potential supporters. If, the lens was smaller than the f/2.8 version, like it should be, it would be a very attractive lens to a lot of people.
